Early Access Exit for ‘RailGods of Hysterra’ Bumped to May 7, New Story Trailer Released [Watch]

Originally set to come out of Early Access tomorrow, we’ll be waiting a while longer for the full launch of RailGods of Hysterra. To make up for it, developer Troglobytes Games and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment have released a new story trailer for the cooperative base-building survival action game.
According to the dev team, after the internal playtests and feedback from testers, more time was needed “to ensure the experience matches the quality and depth you’ve come to expect.” As a result, the game will instead arrive May 7 on Steam.
“Your excitement and feedback have inspired us to refine key features, enhance the game’s stability, and improve the overall gameplay,” reads the Steam page update. “This is because it is essential to us that your first experience with RailGods of Hysterra is both memorable and truly satisfying.
RailGods of Hysterra brings players into a world of waking nightmares alone or as a co-op group of up to five players. H.P. Lovecraft’s Old Gods have twisted the earth and its inhabitants into unspeakable horrors. Defy their might with a team of Dreamers and by forging a bond with a powerful RailGod, an ancient abomination from beyond the stars, wearing a mighty locomotive as its shell.
Purge encroaching madness and unlock powerful GodKeeper abilities, customize skills, and rebel against the Great Old Ones. Travel the Railway to create a protective sigil across the planet, and banish the unknowable abominations to the Dark World from whence they came.
And if you’re keen to check it out, there’s a demo available now.
