Fresh off the release of NEON’s body-horror Together, wherein Alison Brie stars alongside real-life spouse Dave Franco, Brie has announced in an interview with Marie Claire that she’s not leaving horror movies behind anytime soon. In fact, she’s about to make another one.

Alison Brie has revealed that she co-wrote a horror-comedy alongside Alice Stanley Jr., and Brie also plans on making her directorial debut with the mysterious upcoming horror project!

“While we were writing it,” Brie tells Marie Claire, “I felt like I was writing it to direct it. I could see every shot in my head.” She goes on to tease that the feature film is in the horror-comedy realm, and that it’s “female-forward,” with a “very fun energy.”

Brie explains, “The older I get, the more I realize that the heart of everything is just trusting yourself. I’m running at the things that excite me.”

The actress previously directed an episode of the Netflix series “GLOW.”

Together starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco is now playing in theaters. In the film, “Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural foe threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.”
