‘Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon’ First Image Brings Brodie Back for Battle of the Bands Carnage

Back in 2015, Jason Lei Howden tapped into the ultra-gory spirit of Peter Jackson’s early output with the blood-soaked Deathgasm. A first look image signals that its sequel, Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon, is finally on the way.

Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon is set to make its world premiere next month at Fantastic Fest. 

In the sequel, Deathgasm is “fucking back, baby, and the only way Brodie can win the Battle of the Bands is to bring his band back from the dead. This time, the fiery furnaces of Satan’s anus have brought forth nothing short of a GOREMAGEDDON.”

Howden wrote and directed the sequel.

Milo Cawthorne is back as unwitting hero Brodie, who’s had a rough go since thwarting a heavy metal apocalypse in the last film. Brodie is mourning the death of his psychopathic best friend, is unemployed, and has been dumped by his girlfriend, Medina (Kimberley Crossman). Naturally, he decides to get his band back together….by turning to black magic to raise the dead.

The first look image reintroduces Brodie, but withholds any of the gory metal insanity.

“The sequel promises to not only satisfy the cravings of die-hard fans of the original film, like myself, but it will also rip out the hearts of a new wave of viewers,” said Executive Producer B.J. McDonnell (Studio 666).” You can also anticipate a soundtrack that will rock harder than ever, a hallmark of the Deathgasm franchise.”

“I’m so thrilled to be continuing the ‘Deathgasm‘ universe and bring the evil-crushing power of metal to new and existing audiences,“ said Howden. “Like we saw with Eddie Munson in ‘Stranger Things,‘ not all heroes wear capes. Some wear Anthrax tees and denim vests.”

Matthew Kiichi Heafy, best known as the frontman of the chart-topping metal band TRIVIUM, composed the film’s score.

Deathgasm also has a graphic novel and video game on the way, so expect to hear a lot more about this sequel soon.
