Rob Zombie to Publish ‘House of 1000 Corpses: The Making of a Cult Classic’ Book with Full Script & More

Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses: The Making of a Cult Classic will be published on September 16 from Insight Editions.
The 304-page hardcover book offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Zombie’s 2003 directorial debut, with the filmmaker pairing interviews with the creative team with his own reflections on the project.
Zombie’s full shooting script is included, along with handwritten notes that provide insight into the process, plus a treasure trove of rare artwork, concept sketches, and stills.
“I think fans will really enjoy seeing the journey of how an idea becomes reality,” Zombie told People, who debuted the two preview spreads below.
“The book takes the fans from early notes and sketches right up to the premiere of the film. Along the way, you see every twist and turn the film took. It is not done through me telling the story but through my script which is covered in all my notes, thumbnails, sketches and constant changes.”
He adds, “Any film fan will enjoy seeing this behind-the-scenes look at the process and how these beloved, bizarre characters came to be.”

Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon, Karen Black, Rainn Wilson, Chris Hardwick, Erin Daniels, Jennifer Jostyn, Tom Towles, Walton Goggins, Matthew McGrory, and Dennis Fimple star.
