Transforming from light mockumentary to something more sinister, A Bloody Mess is a film about rage that’s a movie about revenge that’s a documentary about shit.

A true-crime documentarian and her loyal crew investigate a small-town tragedy that’s faded into memory as a national joke, but as her determination to uncover the truth becomes more intense, her methods become less ethical — and more dangerous.

A Bloody Mess will have its world premiere at Dances with Films in Los Angeles this Saturday, June 28.

Writer-director Daniel Hayden makes his feature debut on the indie comedy thriller.
