‘Witchboard’ – Red Band Trailer for Chuck Russell’s Remake Peels Off Faces and Spills a Lot of Blood

Now this is what we’re talking about. A much better RED BAND trailer for director Chuck Russell’s horror return Witchboard was debuted by Collider, and this one is finally starting to feel like a horror flick from the director of Dream Warriors, The Blob, and… The Mask!
Yes, Chuck Russell directed all of the above films, and yes, we’re talking about The Mask starring Jim Carrey. Speaking of which, a dude’s face gets peeled off like a mask in the new Red Band trailer for the Witchboard remake, which we invite you to check out down below.
Look for Witchboard to release in theaters on August 15, 2025. The new film is set in present day New Orleans and centers on “a cursed artifact unleashes a vengeful witch, drawing a young couple into a deadly spiral of possession, temptation, and occult terror.”
Witchboard is rated “R” for “strong bloody violence, gore, language, drug content, some sexual content and brief nudity.”
Madison Iseman (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Aaron Dominguez (Only Murders in the Building), Antonia Desplat (Shantaram) and Charlie Tahan (Ozark) star.
The remake’s cast also includes Jamie Campbell Bower (“Stranger Things”).
