After descending into the depths of the labyrinth earlier this year with Labyrinth of the Demon King, Top Hat Studios and solo developer Andrei Chernyshov have released their story-driven shooter Silly Polly Beast on PC via SteamPlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and the Xbox Series on October 28th. The Steam Next Fest demo is still available for those curious to try before plunking down your cash.

Silly Polly Beast is described as a genre-bending narrative shooter mixed with aggressive, fast-paced gunfights and survival horror elements. You play as perpetually unlucky Polly, who has descended into the underworld after having just escaped a nightmarish orphanage. Explore eerie realms, confront haunting figures from your past, and fight for your freedom.

You’ll traverse the nightmarish and often abstract depth of the underworld. Taking a cue from a certain Konami game, the underworld is shrouded in fog. Deadly fog. They say that if you see such a sign, be careful. Your bracelet will illuminate the fog red when it’s very close.

Traversing through the fog, you’ll engage in aggressive gun fights, outsmart enemies, sneak in the shadows, solve puzzles, and travel with your trusty skateboard. The underworld is filled with many odd figures – some of which may not be on your side, but not necessarily against you.
