‘The Matriarch’ Exclusive Trailer – Hell Hath No Fury Like a Mother Scorned

The Australian horror-thriller will be released on VOD on June 10 from Slated Distribution.

13-year-old Missy Taylor lives with her drug-addicted mother, Annette, in rural Australia. When Annette’s boyfriend, Trent, is released from prison and moves in, he becomes a threat to Missy. In an act of self-defense, Missy kills Trent. However, Annette turns against her daughter, leading to a harrowing cat-and-mouse chase that tests Missy’s resilience and will to survive.

Juliette Greenfield, Kate Logan, and Andy Sparnon star in the film, which marks the feature debut of writer-director-producer Jayden Creighton.
