The sleepy New England town of Carpenter Falls is back from the dead in our exclusive trailer for The Boy from Below.

The Halloween-set indie slasher will premiere this Friday, September 5, at the Greendale Cinema in Greendale, IN.

Carpenter Falls is known for being the hometown of B-movie scream queen Marilyn Leigh Miller, whose death sent her 15-year-old son on a killing spree. 30 years later, an obsessed psychopath looks to pay tribute to the late actress by living out his own horror movie fantasies.

Caught in the Halloween madness is local video store clerk Quinn Curtis and her gang of movie-loving friends, whose knowledge of the genre may be their key to survival.

Spooky Madison (Phantom Fun-World), Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Chaney Morrow (Haunt), Jack Norman (The Funhouse Massacre), and filmmaker Tommy Lee Wallace (Halloween III: Season of the Witch) star.

Tory Jones (The Wicked One, Phantom Fun-World) directs from a script he co-wrote with Jerron Spencer (Phantom Fun-World). Cody Ruch (“The Mill,” CarousHell) handled the practical special effects.

“I think people can expect a fun slasher throwback to the era of the video filled with all the things we love as horror fans: a compelling story, lots of laughs, brutal special effects, and familiar faces synonymous with some of the greatest horror films ever made,” Jones tells Bloody Disgusting. “I’m beyond proud of how this film turned out.”

The Boy from Below is produced by Jonestown Films in association with Studio 605 and Newton to Newton Productions.
