Gritty Crime Thriller ‘In Cold Light’ Starring Maika Monroe Finds Home at Saban Films

From French-Canadian director Maxime Giroux (Felix And Meira), Maika Monroe (It Follows) and Troy Kotsur (Coda) star in the film In Cold Light, which has been acquired by Saban Films ahead of its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this coming weekend.

In Cold Light will be getting a U.S. theatrical release next year from Saban Films, Deadline reports this afternoon. Helen Hunt also stars in the upcoming “gritty crime thriller.”

The site details, “In Cold Light is set in a fractured city where loyalty is currency and violence speaks loudest, following Ava (Maika Monroe), who’s newly released from prison and ready to reclaim her territory — until she witnesses a brutal crime that forces her to run. Hunted by enemies and haunted by her past, Ava is pulled into a desperate fight for survival.”

Saban co-presidents Jonathan Saban and Shanan Becker said, “Maika Monroe is a star of the highest order. Her talents are on full display in this electrifying thriller. Surrounded by Academy Award winners Helen Hunt and Troy Kotsur, In Cold Light is a tour de force on every level.”
