Emma Stone Gets Abducted on Yorgos Lanthimos’ ‘Bugonia’ Poster; Trailer Tomorrow

Move over Winnie the Pooh, because Emma Stone is covered in blood and honey on the official poster for Bugonia.
The trailer for the latest film from director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Killing of a Sacred Deer) will debut tomorrow.
The black comedy sci-fi thriller opens with a limited engagement on October 24 before expanding wide on October 31 via Focus Features.
Two conspiracy obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
After the pair chain her in a basement and come face-to-face with the enemy, the two sides — the tinfoil-hat basement dwellers and the steely, soulless corporate executive — soon find themselves pitched in a battle as viscerally unpredictable as it is unexpectedly moving.
Stone stars alongside Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.
Will Tracy (The Menu) penned the script, based on Jang Joon-Hwan’s 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet.
Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) is among the producers on the project, which also include Lanthimos and Stone.
Stone actually shaved her head for the role, as did Lanthimos. “When I knew we were gonna do this, I said, ‘You’re gonna have to shave your head, too, so that we’re in solidarity,’” the actress recalls.
“So we did. He shaved his head first and then shaved mine. We just kind of have to re-shave it every couple days. It’s not too big of a getting-ready process on this movie in the mornings, which has been nice.”
