Jason Voorhees Returns, ‘Alien: Earth’ Sizzles, ‘Weapons’ Kills, and ‘Copycat’ Rules [Halloweenies Podcast]

For August, the Halloweenies are trying out something new. They’re combining the news and headlines of Steve Christy’s Bulletin Board, aka the news section has existed on the podcast for half a decade (starting with 2020’s Friday the 13th season), with Now Showing, their monthly revue of new and old Horror. Together, they hope this bond runs the gamut of the latest and greatest in Horror media.

For the inaugural installment, co-hosts Michael Roffman and McKenzier Gerber discuss the first official Jason Voorhees appearance since 2009 (see: Sweet Revenge), FX’s Alien: Earth, the new Hellraiser game, Gremlins 3, and more. Then, they swap the teleprompter for a box of popcorn to review two new films (Together, Weapons) and two oldies(Copycat, Angel Heart).
