Koro Pixel Studio and publisher CULT Games are kicking off Steam Scream IV Fest today with the release of their new short atmospheric horror experience, Loop//Error. Touted as a slow-burning descent into paranoia, dread, and disturbing imagery, Loop//Error is available with a limited-time 20% launch discount.

Alone in the dead of night, you find yourself sent on a simple errand to check on a quiet gas station on the outskirts of town. But nothing here feels right. You can’t outrun this place. It wants you. And it will keep you. The air is heavy with something unspoken, the radio crackles with words that don’t belong, and the station itself… shifts.

Every step forward drags you deeper into a nightmare of fractured reality and unseen terrors. Strange voices whisper in your ear, shadows stretch and writhe, and the choices you make will carve your fate.

Calling back to old-school text-based adventure games, Loop//Error adds to its creepy atmosphere with a blend of eerie animations and lighting courtesy of its pixel art reminiscent of World of Horror. If that wasn’t enough, the game features dynamic sound design that reacts to your actions.

And despite the short playthrough (about 30 minutes in length), there are multiple endings for players to discover.
