Hammer Horror ‘Twins of Evil’ Heads to 4K UHD from Imprint Films

Twins of Evil will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on October 29 via Australia’s Imprint Films.
Produced by Hammer Films, the 1971 British vampire film has been newly restored in 4K from the original 35mm negative with Dolby Vision and LPCM 2.0 Mono audio.
The hardbox set includes a 60-page hardcover booklet featuring over 100 photographs and a reprint of the original 1971 press kit. Limited to 1,500, it costs $68.20.

A religious sect led by Gustav Weil hunts all women suspected of witchcraft, killing a number of innocent victims. Young Frieda, Gustav’s niece, will involve herself in a devilish cult and become an instrument of justice in the region.
Twins of Evil is the third and final film in Hammer’s Karnstein trilogy — following 1970’s The Vampire Lovers and 1971’s Lust for a Vampire — based on Sheridan Le Fanu‘s 1872 novella Carmilla.
Also known as Twins of Dracula, it’s directed by John Hough (The Legend of Hell House, Escape from Witch Mountain) and written by Tudor Gates (Barbarella, Danger: Diabolik).
