Anomaly Comedy Horror Game ‘The Devil Is in the Details’ Coming to PS5, Xbox Series September 12 [Trailer]

Released last September onto Steam, HideWorks is bringing its Survival Horror anomaly-hunting game The Devil is in the Details to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series on September 12. Mixing scares with dark humor, the game set inside haunted houses filled with bizarre anomalies and “unsettling surprises.”

In The Devil is in the Details, players find themselves trapped in a hellish mansion. Each step forward is a gamble in this ever-changing nightmare, where no two playthroughs are the same. Explore and investigate your surroundings and try to beat the devil at his own game by placing talismans on cursed objects. All the while, you’ll try to survive with limited resources against the many deadly traps and foes that lurk in the shadows, as well as having to deal with the pranks demons and the devil throw at you.

Featuring four distinct campaigns, with each one featuring a sprawling and distinct mansion, you’ll have unique trials to complete. Each trial has 30 mini-arbiters hiding throughout the mansions waiting to be collected, as well as a secret side quest.

The highlight for The Devil is in the Details is its Prank System, which introduces randomized pranks, continuing the theme of no two playthroughs being the same. These range from sliding on the floor, reversed controls, and other unexpected modifiers.

Time is your health. Explore the mansions while keeping an eye on the time, and beware of enemies that will try to consume it. You can use potions to increase your available time, though they are limited in number.
