‘Mandy’ Gets Revenge on Glow-in-the-Dark VHS in Cheddar Goblin Packaging
Presented by Broke Horror Fan (that’s me!), Mandy is now available on VHS from Witter Entertainment.
Written and directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow), Nicolas Cage stars in the 2018 cult classic alongside Andrea Riseborough (Possessor) and Linus Roache (The Chronicles of Riddick).
The film returns to VHS with two variants: a standard slipcase with artwork by Vasilis Zikos for $30, and a Cheddar Goblin book box edition featuring a gatefold cover and a glow-in-the-dark orange tape, limited to 150, for $50.
A very small quantity of leftover editions from earlier pressings are also available while supplies last.
Expected to ship in September, it’s officially licensed from RLJE Films and has been approved by producers SpectreVision. For optimal VHS viewing, the film has been cropped from its original aspect ratio to 4:3 full frame.
The quiet life of devoted couple Red (Cage) and Mandy (Riseborough) takes a dark and bizarre turn when a nightmarish cult and their maniacal leader (Roache) seek to possess Mandy… body and soul. A shocking assault on the innocent pair leads to a spiraling, surreal, bloody rampage of all-out, mind-altering vengeance.
Richard Brake (3 from Hell), Ned Dennehy (“Peaky Blinders”), Olwen Fouéré (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Bill Duke (Predator) round out the cast.
