Haunting Whodunit Title ‘The Séance of Blake Manor’ Out Now on Steam [Trailer]

As if your laundry list of games to check out this Halloween season wasn’t long enough, Swedish indie publisher Raw Fury and Irish developer Spooky Doorway have launched their first-person supernatural detective game The Séance of Blake Manor on Steam. The release is complimented by a limit-time 10% launch discount from now until November 10.
Taking place in 19th century Ireland, Private Investigator Declan Ward arrives at Blake Manor to find the missing Evelyn Deane. What he finds is the Grand Séance and a group of mystics who have gathered from all corners of the world – waiting for All Hallow’s Eve, the night when the veil between worlds is thinnest.
Despite this, Ward must press on with his investigation, interviewing and interrogating an eclectic group of suspects to learn more about their motivations and investigate them to unearth hidden clues from their appearance. Players will need to record details, make connections and cross-reference evidence in order to uncover the truth about Blake Manor, and the whereabouts of Evelyn Deane.
But be careful, as each action counts the day down. Be in the right place at the right time to catch critical events pertinent to your investigation. Everyone has their own agendas and schedules, where missing out on a quick chat by mistiming your actions can affect your investigation. And who knows what hidden secrets lie in wait once you’ve turned in for the night…
Inspired by the artwork of Mike Mignola (of “Hellboy” fame), Edward Risso (“Batman: Broken City”) and Tim Sale (“Batman: The Long Halloween”), The Séance of Blake Manor is presented in a graphic comic style, where every frame appears hand drawn, and items related to the investigation are examined through comic panels. Complimenting the game’s stylized art style is the period-appropriate soundtrack, which is dynamically driven by the location and gameplay, adapting to the situation as the story progresses.
If you’re the “try before you buy” type, you can also check out the game’s demo.
