‘Alien: Earth’ – 4-Minute Sneak Peek Is Loaded With Exciting New Footage

Does humanity deserve to survive? That’s a question that was on creator Noah Hawley’s mind while making “Alien: Earth,” and it’s one he ponders aloud in a brand new featurette video unleashed this morning that gives us our most exciting look at the upcoming TV series to date.
Meet the characters, both human and synthetic, as well as the many monsters of FX’s “Alien: Earth” by checking out the 4-minute featurette titled ‘On-Set Dispatches’ down below.
“The show is huge, and it’s going to be something people are going to really have to sink their teeth into. This strange, exciting, and scary world,” teases star Samuel Blenkin.
Creator Noah Hawley’s “Alien: Earth“ will premiere with the franchise horror series’ first two episodes on August 12 at 8pm on FX and Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally. New episodes will follow weekly on Tuesdays at 8pm through September 23.
“Alien: Earth” is set before the events of the original Alien, in 2120. A ship charged with collecting monsters from the darkest corners of the universe crash lands on Earth, and one of the monsters is of course the legendary Xenomorph. But the “Alien: Earth” trailer makes it clear that it’s not the ONLY monster our human and android characters will have to deal with…
The series deals with “the emergence of the story’s infamous Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the race between corporations to create new android life.”
Here’s the official plot synopsis for the Alien TV series: “Five corporations – Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold – wield the power of nations, and proprietary advancements in technology provide the promise of a new tomorrow. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
Led by Sydney Chandler (Don’t Worry Darling), the series showcases an expansive international cast which includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.
