First Four ‘Devil May Cry’ Titles Join GOG Preservation Program [Video]

GOG continues to hype up its Preservation Program with the latest additions of Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition and Devil May Cry HD Collection to its storefront. As part of the GOG Preservation Program, both titles will continue to get updates to ensure compatibility with current and future iterations of Windows. Best of all, both titles are on sale now, either separately or as a bundle.

Sadly, we don’t appear to be getting any enhancements like what GOG did with Silent Hill 4: The Room or the original Resident Evil trilogy, but it’s nice that we get two Devil May Cry titles (well, four titles if you want to get specific) that are available without DRM (as is the GOG way).

Devil May Cry HD Collection was originally released back in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and includes the three PlayStation 2 titles, all remastered in high-definition. The collection is also available for Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.

Meanwhile, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is the remastered version of the original version of DMC4 that was released in 2008 for PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. First released back in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition added both English and Japanese voice tracks, improved visual effects and textures, in-game re-balancing, additional costumes, and three bonus playable characters in Vergil, Lady and Trish.
