Netflix Renews “Wednesday” for Season 3 With a Spinoff Series Being Discussed

The world of Netflix’s Addams Family series “Wednesday” is getting set to expand with the premiere of Season 2 on August 6, and “Wednesday” Season 3 has now been ordered up!

The official renewal announcement has been made by an article from The Hollywood Reporter this morning, which also suggests that a “Wednesday” spinoff series could be coming soon.

A spinoff series is in “early discussions,” the outlet notes in today’s report. They provide no further clues as to who or what the top secret spinoff would focus on. “It’s something we’re definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at,” series co-creator Alfred Gough teases. Netflix’s Bela Bajaria adds, “There’s a lot to explore in the Addams Family.”

Jenna Ortega is back as Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton’s “Wednesday” Season 2, with the hotly anticipated new season of the original series premiering with Part 1 on August 6.

Part 2 of “Wednesday” Season 2 will follow on September 3.

In the new season of the Netflix series, “Nevermore is back in session as Wednesday tangles with a new principal, a devious campus stalker and a waning grip on her psychic powers.”
