Stop an Alien Infection in Sci-Fi Body Horror Title ‘ULTRASOUND’ [Trailer]

Developer Here Below will be bringing gamers more body horror next year with their newly-announced title ULTRASOUND. Set for release on PC via Steam, ULTRASOUND draws inspiration from the developers’ paths to parenthood, and the “hope and horror of the ultrasound machine.”

Set aboard a long haul space freighter hurtling towards a star, ULTRASOUND sees players step into the shoes of Medical Officer Dana Voss, who must diagnose and perform surgical procedures upon a grotesque alien infection that has rapidly been spreading throughout the ship.

As the infection grows and begins to take hold, critical ship systems are at risk of failing. To avert disaster, players must use an array of surgical apparatus and a portable ultrasound machine to scan, identify and diagnose the infection. After which, you will need to repair infected systems in tense and gruesome procedures that will test your skills. New medical tools must be found, upgrades must be made and strange injections must be formulated to deal with ever-expanding growths and unwanted mutations.

All the while, you must maintain the ship’s systems, such as life support, power, cargo manifests, and more. The failure of each system has drastic effects on your play experience, forcing you to adapt and manage resources effectively.

Laden with difficult decisions and disgusting discoveries, how you proceed in ULTRASOUND will impact Dana’s journey and shape her ultimate fate in one of the game’s multiple endings.
