Immersive Dino Horror FPS ‘Athanasia’ to be Published by Neon Doctrine [Trailer]

Originally beginning with a Kickstarter, and aiming to test “every survival instinct you have,” Momentum Games has announced that their upcoming dinosaur-filled Dino Crisis-inspired FPS Athanasia will be published by Neon Doctrine. The announcement was made during The Mix Summer Showcase, complete with a new trailer.
As you would hope, the story for Athanasia is pure cheese. Set in an abandoned South American research facility, you are Carmen Flores, researcher and explorer. You were initially called to investigate the reports of disappearances and strange phenomena, but soon discovered that the facility has been overrun with dinosaurs. You must now out-think and outmanoeuvre the brute strength of your prehistoric adversaries while delving into the secrets held in the facility.
Seeing as you’re obviously at a disadvantage, you must navigate hidden pathways while taking advantage of your surroundings to escape your dinosaur encounters, or to stealthily take out your unwitting foes. You’ll find caches of equipment in the facility, as well as the expected audio logs of those worked here. And in typical Survival Horror fare, you’ll need to carefully manage your inventory, as well as combine resources to create healing items, distractions, or traps.
Athanasia also ups the immersion factor with you being able to hack into computers in order to progress, as well as jimmy open doors and refuel machines.
If you’re looking for your fix while the game is in development, you can check out the demo that’s available now on Steam.
