‘The Howling,’ ‘Vampires,’ ‘Renfield’ Hit Steelbook 4K UHD in November from Scream Factory

Scream Factory is bringing Vampires, The Howling, and Renfield to Steelbook 4K UHD + Blu-ray in November.

John Carpenter‘s Vampires will be released on November 4.

The 1998 action horror western is directed by Carpenter from a script by Don Jakoby (Arachnophobia), based on John Steakley’s 1990 novel Vampire$.

Jack Crow leads Team Crow, a relentless group of mercenary vampire slayers. When Master Vampire Valek decimates Jack’s entire team, Crow and the sole team survivor, Montoya, set out in pursuit. Breaking all the rules, Crow and Montoya take one of Valek’s victims hostage: a beautiful but unlucky prostitute. She is the sole psychic link to Valek and they use her to track down the leader of the undead.

As Valek nears the climax of his 600-year search for the Berziers Cross, Jack and the new Team Crow do everything possible to prevent him from possessing the only thing that can grant him and all the vampires the omnipotent power to walk the world in daylight.

James Woods, Daniel Baldwin, Sheryl Lee, Thomas Ian Griffith, Maximilian Schell, and Tim Guinee star.


The Howling will be released on November 4.

The 1981 werewolf classic is directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins) and written by John Sayles (The Spiderwick Chronicles) and Terence H. Winkless, based on Gary Brandner’s 1977 novel.

Severely shaken after a near-fatal encounter with a serial killer, TV newscaster Karen White takes some much-needed time off. Hoping to conquer her inner demons, she heads for The Colony, a secluded retreat where her new neighbors are just a tad too eager to make her feel at home.

There seems to be a bizarre link between her would-be attacker and this supposedly safe haven. And when, after nights of being tormented by savage shrieks and unearthly cries, Karen ventures into the forest to find answers, she makes a terrifying discovery. Now she must fight not only for her life… but for her very soul!
